Varicose veins are enlarged, dark blue or purple veins on the legs. They usually appear on the calf below the knee and sometimes behind the knee.

Spider veins differ from varicose veins. These are purple, red, blue or gray stripes in the form of a net, which are most often found on the leg. Research shows that around 60% of women have more than 30 spider veins. Some men also have spider veins

Exercises that relieve varicose veins also help reduce spider veins. With the right type of exercise, your legs can look smoother and feel better.

Standing is difficult for the body. It tends to have very poor blood circulation and can cause swelling of the legs unless there is activity or movement while standing. If you are on your feet a lot, care should be taken. When a person gets up, gravity strongly counteracts the blood and lymphatic reflux of the lower limbs.

Walking is the best form of exercise for the body. Walking helps the veins in the legs to pump blood from the heart to the heart and also helps the heart to function better. This is the best exercise, especially if there is a tendency for varicose veins during pregnancy. Either walk or not stand as much!

Walking causes a therapeutic reaction in the body, which leads to better blood flow to the kidneys and especially the lower limbs. Take short breaks several times a day to stretch the leg muscles and shift your weight from a sitting or standing position.

If you have varicose veins, avoid the more intense forms of exercise such as weightlifting, aerobic exercise with strong effect, jogging or intense cycling. This type of exercise can increase the pressure on the veins.

Good forms of exercise that promote blood circulation and keep fluid from building up in the legs are: low impact aerobics, swimming, and light exercise.

Try this exercise to further increase leg circulation: stand on your toes fifteen times, relax, and repeat the process. It also strengthens the calf muscles.

After exercising, support your feet while lying on pillows or pillows. Raise your feet on a stool or ottoman when you sit down to watch TV or read. Get as far away from your feet as possible to reduce the pressure in your legs.

If you exercise moderately for several months, you will relieve pain and increase energy in your legs. You will feel better and your legs will thank you!
To relieve the symptoms of varicose veins in a natural and more permanent way, there are creams, lotions and pills that contain herbs and essential oils known for their healing, circulation-promoting, vaso-restrictive and pain relieving properties.

For example, the potent horse chestnut with herbal extract, according to the Mayo Clinic, can drastically reduce the pain and size of varicose veins, and may be as effective a treatment as stockings for easier compression.
