overview
Body lice are tiny insects the size of a sesame seed. Body lice live in your clothes and bedding and move on your skin several times a day to feed on blood. The most common places to bite are the neck, shoulders, armpits, waist, and groin – the places where clothing seams are most likely to touch skin.
Body lice are more common in crowded and unsanitary living conditions such as refugee camps and shelters for the homeless. They can also be spread through contact with an infected person’s clothing. Body lice bites can spread certain types of disease and even cause epidemics. Lice, body Treatment in Hyderabad

The reasons
Body lice are similar to head lice but have different habits. While head lice live in your hair and feed on your scalp, body lice usually live in your clothes and bedding. They migrate to your skin several times a day to feed on blood.
The seams of your clothing are the most common places where body lice lay their eggs (nits). You can become infected with body lice if you come in close contact with someone who has body lice, or clothing or bedding that is infected with body lice. Lice, body Treatment in Hyderabad
Risk factors

- Were refugees
- The homeless
- People displaced by natural disasters
Complications
Body lice infestations usually cause minimal problems. Sometimes, however, an infestation with body lice leads to complications such as:
- Secondary infections. When body lice scratch and burrow to feed on your blood, they can irritate your skin. Scratching to relieve the itchiness can irritate your skin as well. If this irritation makes your skin rough, other infections can develop.
- Skin changes. If you have had body lice for a long time, skin changes such as thickening and discoloration may appear, especially around your waist, groin, or thighs. Lice, body Treatment in Hyderabad
