Double uterus treatment in Hyderabad

overview

  • A double uterus is a rare birth defect. In a female fetus, the uterus begins with two small tubes. As the fetus grows, the tubes usually connect to form a larger, hollow organ – the uterus.
  • However, sometimes the tubes do not come together completely. Instead, each grows into its own structure. A double uterus can have an opening (cervix) in a vagina, or each uterine cavity can have a cervix. In many cases, a thin wall of tissue runs the length of the vagina, dividing it into two separate openings.
  • Women with a double uterus often have successful pregnancies. However, the condition can increase the risk of miscarriage or premature birth. Double uterus treatment in Khammam

symptom

A double uterus often causes no symptoms. The condition can be discovered during a regular pelvic exam or during imaging tests to determine the cause of recurrent miscarriages.

Women who have a double vagina with a double uterus may see a doctor first for menstrual bleeding that is not stopped by a tampon. In these situations, the woman put a tampon in one vagina, but blood is still leaking from the second uterus and vagina.

The reasons

Doctors don’t know why some fetuses develop a double uterus and others don’t. A genetic component can be a factor as this rare disease sometimes runs in families.

Complications

Many women with a double uterus have normal sex lives, pregnancies, and deliveries. But sometimes a double uterus and other abnormalities in the development of the uterus are associated with:

  • infertility
  • Miscarriage
  • Premature birth
  • Kidney abnormalities
