The hernia is a problem due to the weakening of the abdominal wall muscles. It is a painful disease that can occur in both children and adults. The causes that can lead to a hernia are genetic or improper lifting techniques. Due to the weakness of the abdominal wall, some internal organs, especially the intestine, swell in the peritoneum. This type of hernia is a simple car case where the organs in the body can be manipulated. Still, no one can guarantee that this barley will stay in place without surgical help. This type of hernia is called a reducible hernia.

An inguinal hernia occurs when part of an organ protrudes through the muscle fiber, which is responsible for holding that organ in place. This usually happens because of a weakness that occurs in the muscles around the organ, causing them to tear and let some of them come out through the small opening created. This protruding part of the organ creates a prominent bulge that is visible.

The reasons

A paraesophageal hernia may result in detention or severe epigastric pain due to strangulation. This type of hernia is rare, but dangerous and can be fatal. Complications such as gastric narrowing sometimes occur, but in most cases this does not occur.

Symptoms

The symptoms of the hernia are usually related to the bulge that the hernia is looking for. In the early stages, you only notice this little bump that doesn’t hurt when touched. As the disease progresses, the bulge or hernia, as some specialists call it, becomes painful and continues to swallow. The lump becomes more noticeable when coughing or sneezing and can be pushed back by hand in most cases, but emerges in a few minutes. If it cannot be pushed back, you may have a herniated hernia.

Hiatal hernia does not cause symptoms or problems in the body, so in most cases people are affected and do not even know it, but they are not at risk. Treatment is only required when strangulation occurs. In this case, the patient must be operated on to bring the stomach back into its normal position. Hiatal hernia surgery can be performed using the laparoscope, an instrument used in many types of surgery. This allows the doctor to operate without making a large incision in the chest, but through a very small incision.

diagnosis

Hiatal hernia is a condition that is usually diagnosed at a later stage because there are no symptoms and initial symptoms that are very closely related to other digestive diseases. Hiatal hernias occur more frequently in people aged 55 and over, but theoretically they can occur at any age. It is caused by a weakening of the diaphragmatic pause (esophageal opening) that allows the upper part of the stomach to move into the chest cavity. This condition is known as hiatal hernia and is responsible for the occurrence of gastric reflux.

treatment

The umbilical hernia is not surgically repaired in young children, as the hernia usually shrinks and heals on its own until the child turns 3 years old. Some mothers try to increase the rate of healing by tapping a patch on the bulge and forcing it to stay there and push it back. However, this method is neither tested nor medically recommended. In some special cases, however, the umbilical hernia must be operated on.

Femoral hernias may not have any real symptoms and can lead to serious complications if not treated. The actual surgery pushes the contents of the hernia back into the abdomen and repairs the problem caused by the weakening of the abdominal wall. If the hernia consists of an intestinal fragment, it must return to a location to avoid complications such as intestinal obstruction.

The best treatment for primary inguinal hernias is Lichtenstein repair. This type of treatment is not a difficult procedure and can also be used by non-specialized surgeons. The result of the procedure is less pain and a shorter recovery time. Laparoscopic repair is not only recommended for bilateral hernias, it is also necessary. Certain factors influence the choice. One of them and one of the most important factors is the size of the pores.
