Do you suffer from varicose veins? Do your legs often hurt or do you feel uncomfortable due to bothersome spider veins? While many people may think that spider veins are just something to deal with in old age, the fact is that there are actually solutions to this common problem!

While the specific cause of varicose veins can be widely controversial, there is a general consensus that they are caused by weakening of the vein walls. This weakening can cause blood to pool in the legs and slow blood flow, which can lead to spider veins to appear.

Of course, the veins have a valve function that prevents blood from flowing in the wrong direction. When the venous walls are weakened, this valve may stop working properly and allow some backflow in the blood. This could block the veins and slow blood flow, causing the veins to expand and appear along the surface of the skin.

While anyone can have veins, pregnant or overweight women are much more prone to having them. This is due to the type of blood flow and the pressure they put on their veins and circulatory system. People who are obese or people who often stand for long periods of time are also more prone to varicose veins.

The main symptom of varicose veins is mainly mild discomfort or itching on the surface of the skin. The severity of these symptoms can vary, ranging from mild discomfort to serious and frustrating distraction. In some cases, more serious and dangerous symptoms can result from varicose veins.

Spider veins are not always a serious problem, but there are solutions. In less severe cases, they can be easily corrected by simply wearing stockings that tighten the leg and make blood flow more precise and direct. This solution is generally recommended for those who have no severe symptoms or have mild varicose veins.

In some more extreme cases, there are surgical options that remove the vein or redirect blood flow to force a more natural circulatory flow. These options are widely disapproved unless the patient is suffering from extreme pain or discomfort from their varicose veins.
