Causes of Enlarged Breasts Reduction Surgery in Men

Gynecomastia is strictly a male disease and is any growth of the adipose (fatty) and glandular tissue in a male breast. Not all breast growth in men is considered abnormal, just excess growth.

The cause of enlarged breasts is unknown. Among older men, Gynecomastia Forum often results from decreasing levels of the male sex hormone testosterone, which diminishes with advancing age. In addition, men experience an increase in body fat with age and a resultant rise in the ratio of the female sex hormones (estrogens) to the male sex hormones (androgens).

Medications may also cause enlarged breasts, including:

Anti-androgens used to treat prostate enlargement or cancer and some other conditions
AIDS medications
Anti-anxiety medications
Tricyclic antidepressants
Antibiotics
Ulcer medications
If you use drugs that may cause the condition, you are not a good candidate for Male Breast Reduction Treatment. Your doctor will likely first advise you to stop using these drugs or to switch to other medications that do not cause gynecomastia. However, never stop taking a prescription medication without talking to your doctor first.

Diseases may cause enlarged breasts as well. These may include:

Any conditions that interfere with normal testosterone production
Some tumors, such as those involving the testes, adrenal glands or pituitary gland
Hyperthyroidism (the thyroid gland produces too much thyroid hormone)
Kidney failure
Liver failure and cirrhosis
Malnutrition
Gynecomastia Forum – There are several options you may want to consider. In order of severity, they are listed below:

Herb Treatment: Some men have used turmeric root to cure for Male Breast Surgery. This has achieved varying degrees of success. Some men have seen the results diminished over time. This is probably the least evasive and least expensive treatment option. This treatment has not been proven to effective.
Chemical Treatment: Some physicians are currently prescribing chemical treatment with clomiphen (estrogen antagonist), danazol (antigonadoprophic), tamoxifen (antestrogen) and dihydrotestosterone to cure gynecomastia, however, again – there are no studies that actually prove this is an effective treatment.
Cosmetic Surgery or Male Breast Reduction Surgery is also an option for gynecomastia. Using a scalpel, the excess glandular tissue is cut out with a scalpel.
Male Breast Reduction Surgery -The procedure is performed either under intravenous sedation or general anesthesia. If the surgery is being performed to remove excess fatty tissue, liposuction techniques alone may be used. Using a cannula, a thin hollow tube, and several small incisions. The excess fat is removed from the body by vacuum suction. The excision techniques are used when the breast tissue or excess skin must be removed to fix the gynecomastia. This is also used to reduce the areola or the nipple is repositioned to a more natural male contour.
