Black-haired tongue
Open Black Hairy Tongue popup dialog
Black-haired tongue is a temporary and harmless oral disease that causes the tongue to appear dark and hairy. The distinct appearance usually results from the accumulation of dead skin cells on the many small protrusions (papillae) on the surface of the tongue that contain taste buds. These papillae, which are longer than normal, can easily be trapped and stained by bacteria, yeast, tobacco, food, or other substances.
- While the black-haired tongue sounds alarming, it is usually not a health problem and is usually painless. The black-haired tongue usually dissolves on its own by eliminating possible causes or factors and practicing good oral hygiene.Black hairy tongue Treatment Hyderabad
symptom
The signs and symptoms of a black-haired tongue are:
- Black discoloration of the tongue, although the color can be brown, brown, green, yellow, or white
- A hairy or hairy appearance of the tongue
- Changed taste or metallic taste in the mouth
- Bad breath (halitosis)
- Gagging or tickling when the taste bud overgrowth is too big
The reasons
A black-haired tongue usually occurs when the protrusions on the tongue called papillae become longer because they don’t shed dead skin cells as usual. This gives the tongue a hairy look. Dirt, bacteria, or other organisms can build up on the taste buds and cause discoloration.Black hairy tongue Treatment Hyderabad
