BENEFICIARY BENEFITS & SCHEME FEATURES
Beneficiaries of the scheme are members of the Lower Poverty (BPL) families who are counted on the BPL ration card and photographed and available in the Civil Supplies Department database. The benefit on the family is on a floater basis, i.e., a total repayment of Rs.1.50 lakhs can be availed by the family members individually or collectively. If the actual amount is exceeded, an additional Rs 50,000 will be provided as a buffer to look after the expenses, i.e., Rs 1.50 lakh per family. The trust pays a maximum of Rs 6.50 lakh per case for cochlear implant surgery with auditory verbal Therapy .
Treatment (surgery, chemotherapy), Therapy, polytrauma (including cases under the MV Act), and cochlear implant surgery with auditory-verbal Therapy for children under two years of age. All pre-existing instances of the above diseases are covered under this scheme.
Diseases exclusively excluded from the list include hip and knee transplants, bone marrow, heart and liver transplants, gamma-knife procedures in neurosurgery, assistive devices for heart failure, etc .; And diseases transmitted by national programs, TB, HIV / AIDS, leprosy, infectious diseases, malaria, filariasis, gastroenteritis, jaundice, etc.
